Sooooo, I decided to create a fun, lighthearted post for the blog’s Random Ramblings section today…
And I also made a handy dandy Spotify playlist to go with it! 😉
Since ’80s music makes me happy (I mean, how could it not?), I wanted to see how many ’80s songs I could think of to use as responses to various situations. For this post, I’ve come up with 21, but I’m sure I could do this all day. But then that wouldn’t be very productive, now would it?
Anyway, I ♥ the ’80s and ’80s music and ’80s dancing and ’80s make-up and ’80s clothes and…OK, OK, you get the picture. Speaking of pictures, this is a shot of the girls and me all dolled up for an ’80s tribute concert.
Next time, I’ll try not to embarrass my children by joining them on stage with the lead singer for an awesome group rendition of “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” Although, that was super fun! Hmm…OK, so I can’t commit to not doing that again but maybe I won’t sing “Africa” to people in line at the ice cream food truck while teenage girls try to Snapchat the whole ordeal to their boyfriends. I did say “MAYBE” I won’t do that. Just sayin’ 😉
OK, so now we can proceed to THE LIST of ways to respond to situations with ’80s song lyrics, which I have entitled, “A Taste of the ’80s.” Of course, being that this is first and foremost a food blog, there are some food related items, hence the “taste” or sampling you are about to experience. Be sure to listen, sing along, dance and repeat! So without further ado, I present to you…
