Equipment

Ingredients

  • 1 ½ lb Yukon Gold potatoes, peeled and cut into 1-inch chunks
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder (or garlic powder or ¼ teaspoon of each)
  • ¾-1 teaspoon sea salt or kosher salt, depending on taste
  • 2 teaspoon extra virgin olive oil or avocado oil if preferred, plus more for greasing the air fryer

Instructions

  • Add potato chunks to a mixing bowl.
  • Combine paprika, onion powder and salt in a small bowl. Add olive oil and the seasoning mixture to the potatoes, and mix until well combined.
  • If your air fryer has a separate elevated crisping tray or plate, be sure to insert it. Lightly grease the crisper plate or bottom of the air fryer basket with olive or avocado oil or non-aerosol, propellant-free spray.
  • Add the potatoes and air fry at 390° F for about 15 minutes *or until potatoes are cooked throughout and are browned to your liking, shaking the basket every few minutes to prevent sticking and so that the potatoes cook evenly. You can also stir around with a silicone spatula if desired.

Notes

*Due to variations in air fryers, the potatoes may take a few minutes less or more to brown and cook throughout.
Store leftover potatoes in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350° F until warmed, approximately 5 minutes.
