Equipment

Ingredients

  • 8 frozen vegetable potstickers (*see notes below regarding a gluten-free version)
  • non-aerosol, propellant free avocado or olive oil spray
  • optional: dipping sauce such as soy sauce/tamari

Instructions

  • If your air fryer has a separate elevated crisping tray or plate, be sure to insert it. Lightly grease the crisper plate or bottom of the air fryer basket with the avocado or olive oil spray.
  • Place potstickers in a single layer in the air fryer so that they are not overlapping. Lightly spray the tops of the potstickers with the avocado or olive oil spray.
  • Air fry at 350° F for 5 minutes. Carefully flip each dumpling using tongs. Continue to air fry for another 4-6 minutes.
  • Allow the dumplings to sit for about 2 minutes before eating as the filling will be hot.

Notes

Most vegetable potstickers are vegan-friendly; check ingredient labels if needed. I used Whole Foods brand. *For a gluten-free version, try these vegetable potstickers by Feel Good Foods. The box comes with approximately 10 potstickers which are slightly smaller than their wheat-based counterparts. Upon testing, I followed the same steps as above and mine were done around 9 minutes as some of them started to burst open.
Keep the potstickers frozen until ready to use. Do not thaw.
Be sure to use a non-aerosol, propellant-free oil spray to avoid damaging your air fryer's non-stick finish. You can also use a spritzer bottle and fill it with your own oil.
Timing was based on a non-preheated air fryer. If you preheat your air fryer, cooking time will decrease by 1-3 minutes.
