Instructions
First, in a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, instant yeast, and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the warm water, olive oil, and agave syrup until well combined.
Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir with a wooden spoon until a dough forms.
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead for about 5 to 7 minutes, or until the dough is smooth and elastic.
Place the dough in a greased bowl and cover it with a clean kitchen towel. Allow it to rise in a warm place for about 1 to 2 hours, or until it has doubled in size.
Once the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release the air. Transfer it to a lightly floured surface and shape it into a loaf.
Place the shaped dough into a greased loaf pan. Cover it with a clean kitchen towel and let it rise again for about 30 to 45 minutes, or until it has risen above the rim of the pan.
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
Once the dough has risen, place the loaf pan in the preheated oven and bake for about 30 to 35 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Remove the bread from the oven and let it cool in the pan for a few minutes. Finally, transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
Notes
I have not tried this recipe with gluten free flour, but it will likely be more dense.
Do not rush the dough rising process. Patience is key with this homemade bread recipe.
The bread is done baking when it sounds hollow when tapped on the bottom.
Allow it to fully cool before slicing.
Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 4 days.
