The air fryer has become a game changer in the kitchen in so many ways. I may be biased but I think it is the best kitchen appliance for cooking so many of my favorite foods.
In my opinion, air frying allows you to achieve better results than deep frying with little oil added.
Tips on using the Air Fryer
- Can you put frozen food in an air fryer? - Yes, Air Fryers are so versatile that you can pop them right into the machine (unless the frozen package specifies any thawing instructions).
- Can you put aluminum foil or parchment paper in an air fryer? - Yes! However, be sure to weigh the foil down so it's not getting blown around in the basket. Check out some other good tips here like wrapping the food tightly or using pie weights. If you are using parchment paper, add the paper to the basket while you add your ingredients as it will help weigh the paper down in the basket.
- Do you need oil with an air fryer for frozen food? - While it is not necessary to use oil, i find that a light coating of oil can help give a golden crispier texture to the foods and helps remove the food without much stickiness. You can use healthy fat oils such as olive oil or avocado oil to spruce up your food.
- Do you need to preheat air fryer for frozen food? Preheating for a couple of minutes is an excellent strategy before you pop in your frozen food. It will help with cooking evenly and give you a crunchier texture. Just remember to space out your food in the air fryer - cluttering is never a good idea in the basket!
